Field Courses
We offer trips to three destinations at present, with plans for two more to be added shortly. The best times of year to go are April/May/June and September/October. The number of courses we can run each year will be limited so we advise booking early to secure a preferred time slot. Ideal group size is 8-16 participants, but we can accommodate larger groups. The courses are run on a client/group basis only. We will organise all the logistics, provide HSE documentation and field guides.
As the opportunity to attend a field course is so precious these days, we try to squeeze as much value out of the experience as possible for you. This means that discussions which arise from the geology in front of you and its relevance to your group’s particular focus will not be rushed. The cultural aspects of the area visited can also form part of the agenda. Finally, the local cuisine is an important part of the experience so we ensure that this is incorporated into the course. Be it a humble cream tea in Sidmouth, the best fish and chips in Whitby or experimental fine dining in Sesimbra, combined with the quality of the geology this makes for a highly rewarding and applied experience for your team.
